Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club could enter the race for PSG forward Kylian Mbappe in 2023.
City ended their two-year search for a new striker when they signed Erling Haaland at the start of the summer, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular.
The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 14 matches in all competitions for the Blues, making him the most in-form striker in the world right now.
Haaland is widely considered to be the best striker of his generation alongside Mbappe, and now Marca are suggesting that the two could join forces at the Etihad Stadium.
Mbappe has sent shockwaves through football in recent weeks after multiple reports claimed he is unhappy at PSG, despite signing a bumper three-year contract in May.
The 23-year-old is said to be angered that promises made to him by the club have not been met, and that he wants to leave as soon as possible.
According to Marca as relayed MEN, Manchester City as one of a few suitors that could potentially afford to sign the Frenchman, alongside rivals Liverpool.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

“Please don’t make that mistake, let him play elsewhere. May the transfer never happen, we need team players and that lad isn’t one. No doubt he’s a good player but he’s got an ego bigger than he is”

“Genuinely hope we don’t sign him, but if Khaldoon wants to piss people off by doing so even if it means Mbappe will be on the bench – I’m all for it”
