Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club had a scout at FC Porto vs Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday night.
Even though Manchester City are obviously a very active club in the transfer market, it’s not very often they’re named when Portuguese scouting lists are released.
According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City sent a scout who watched the surprise win from the Belgian side, who beat Porto 4-0 at the Estádio do Dragão.
Man City haven’t really been linked to any Porto or Club Brugge players this year, so it’s hard to guess who the club could have been keeping an eye on at this match.
Pep Guardiola’s side is reported to have identified the central midfield position as an area of weakness and one that will need significant reinforcement.
