Manchester City fans on Twitter have been reacting to a ‘ridiculous’ stat on Erling Haaland after his half-decent start to Premier League life.

Haaland scored in Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, taking his tally to 14 goals and one assist from 10 games in all competitions.

The lethal 22-year-old has plundered hat-tricks against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, notching a brace at West Ham United and firing goals past Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As such, it will come as no surprise to learn that the goalscoring shockwaves that Haaland is creating on English soil are very much reverberating around the continent.

Haaland has more Premier League goals this season than Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Leeds, Bournemouth, Everton, Southampton, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Wolves, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Leicester and fourth-placed Brighton.

According to Football365, Erling Haaland is responsible for only 2.54% of Manchester City’s Premier League touches this season, but 23% of their shots and 48% of their goals.

Haaland’s 11 Premier League goals have come from 27 shots and, even more ridiculously, 156 total touches. That’s a shot conversion rate of 40.7%, and a touch conversion rate of 7.05%.

City supporters on social media were amazed by the stat. They are all amazed Haaland has done all this despite famously barely bothering to touch the ball the rest of the time.
