Erling Haaland breaks another Premier League record as Man City sensation strikes again

Erling Haaland broke yet another Premier League record to help Manchester City take charge of their clash with Wolves in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

Pep Guardiola’s side needed just 56 seconds to take the lead at Molineux as Grealish finally enjoyed a day to remember after a difficult time since joining City from Aston Villa last year.

Haaland doubled City’s advantage with his 14th goal in 10 games in all competitions following a £51 million ($58 million) move from Borussia Dortmund that already appears a bargain.

Wolves lost any chance of a fightback when Nathan Collins was sent off for an ugly stomach-high foul on Grealish in the first half.

Phil Foden capped City’s stroll in the midlands sunshine as the Premier League champions moved to the top of the table.

After netting City’s second on Saturday, Haaland has now scored 14 goals in nine games this season for the Manchester outfit, a superb record and one that looks set to see the former Borussia Dortmund man sail towards the Premier League Golde Boot.

It has been revealed that Erling Haaland has become the first player in Premier League history to score in each of his first four away games in the competition.

The former Molde and Red Bull Salzburg prodigy has already broken numerous records in England’s top flight, scoring nine goals in his first five appearances to surpass Sergio Aguero and Micky Quinn.

This is the latest in a long line of records Haaland is expected to break this season. Andy Cole and Alan Shearer both scored 34 PL goals when a season was 42 matches long, whilst Mohamed Salah currently has the record for most goals in a 38-game campaign with 32.

In a move which came as no surprise to fans, Haaland was crowned the Premier League Player of the Month for August for his return of nine goals in five games.
