Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Southampton have agreed a deal in the region of £10million for winger Samuel Edozie.
Edozie joined Manchester City from Millwall in 2019, with the Citizens beating off competiton from a plethora of Premier League clubs including Chelsea to land his services.
Pep Guardiola handed him his first team debut in 2021, leading City’s attack alongside Riyad Mahrez and Ferran Torres in the 2021/2022 FA Community Shield.
He has since developed into one of the club’s most promising talents in the Elite Development Squad.
Edozie was reportedly close to joining German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer, but The Saints have seemingly won the race for his signature.
According to Football Insider, Southampton have agreed a deal in the region of £10M for Samuel Edozie.
The report states that Man City have now given the forward the green light to undergo a medical on the south coast and discuss personal terms.
The 19-year-old will join the likes of Gavin Bazunu and Romeo Lavia, who were his teammates in the Manchester City youth squad.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
