‘We robbed them’, ‘Txiki is a genius’ – Many Man City fans react as Erling Haaland transfer claim emerges

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club will not pay a single euro to Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland before July, 2023.

Haaland, who scored twice on his Premier League debut during the opening weekend of this season, had been trailed by a host of Europe’s top clubs last season – including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

But City won the race early and he signed a five-year deal at the Etihad back in June. A Report from Norway on Saturday have shared the details of the agreement between the Premier League winners and the German club.

According to Dagbladet Sport as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City will not pay a ‘single euro’ to the Bundesliga side before July 2023.

Manchester City will pay the fee in four instalments and the Bundesliga club will ‘not have all of the funds’ before 2026.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
