Plenty of Manchester City fans have reacted to Pep Guardiola’s comments regarding the club’s search for a new left-back after losing Marc Cucurella.
The Premier League champions are no closer to landing a new left-back after being pipped to the signature of Brighton defender Marc Cucurella.
The Spaniard is expected to join Chelsea in a deal worth upwards of £62million, meaning City will have to take their hunt for a left-back elsewhere.
Pep Guardiola is desperate to fill the void left by the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko, who completed his summer move to Arsenal.
When asked whether there was any imminent transfer news, the City boss said: “Nothing special. It is the same. We will see. We still have lots of days until the end of the month. We will see.
“There are a lot of players all around the world and a lot of them can fit in perfectly the way we are as a team, but at the same time transfers are always difficult.
“Selling is more difficult than buying at the same time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. It can be possible, it cannot be possible.”
These Guardiola’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
