Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has not ruled Liverpool out of being involved in the Premier League title race after their poor start to the season.
The Reds have drawn against Fulham and Crystal Palace before losing at Manchester United on Monday night.
Liverpool pushed City all the way last season and fell short by just one point in the race for the title as both sides have taken the last five Premier League title wins. The Reds currently sit in 16th place in the league after a surprising poor start.
Many expects Liverpool to get their act together and be part of the title race once again – and one of those people is England international Foden.
“I mean, Liverpool are always a dangerous team, they have a great manager and they’re so dangerous as a team,” he told Amazon’s YouTube channel.
“Not only just them, there are a lot of teams who have strengthened, so who knows? It should be a great season.”
Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League as the only side to have a 100% record after City came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.
Teams have certainly strengthened. Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have started brilliantly, for instance. Chelsea don’t appear done with their transfer business, either, while Manchester United could be just about anything.
