Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is targeting Mohammed Salisu to replace outgoing Nathan Aké.
Nathan is on the verge of joining Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea having agreed personal terms with the club and there has been several targets linked to replace the Holland international.
Pep Guardiola may be comfortable going into the new season with just three senior centre-backs in Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones however there has been some names that City are looking at if they do decide to go and get a replacement.
Pau Torres of Villareal and Jules Kounde of Sevilla have been linked but another name who may not be as expensive is Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu according to Stat city.
The 23-year-old defender has been a key defender for the saints this season in the English Premier League with some eye catching displays.
Salisu Mohammed excelled in his side’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City and also starred in games against Manchester United although his form tailed a bit in recent times.
The Ghanaian leads the way in terms of statistics for the most interceptions in the English Premier League. He made 32 appearances for his side in the English Premier League this season.
The report shared on Twitter by StatCity, attracted plenty of attention from the Man City supporters.
