Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Sources close to Mohammed Salisu and within Southampton do not believe there is any substance in the report linking him with the Premier League champions.
With Nathan is on the verge of joining Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea having agreed personal terms with the club, there has been several targets linked to replace the Holland international.
Pau Torres of Villareal and Jules Kounde of Sevilla have been linked but another name who emerged last week was Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu.
However, according to Southampton FC reporter Benjy Nurick, Sources close to Mohammed Salisu and within Southampton do not believe there is any substance in the report linking him with Man City interest.
He went further to state that if he is on Man City’s list, no one has informed the player or people around him.
Believe there’s nothing in the Salisu to Manchester City link at this time.
Told Salisu is happy at the club and #SaintsFC want to keep him.
Can always change but sources close to the player and within the club don’t believe there’s substance to the report of #MCFC interest. pic.twitter.com/1hxXW0Hq7l

The 23-year-old defender has been a key defender for the saints this season in the English Premier League with some eye catching displays.
Salisu Mohammed excelled in his side’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City and also starred in games against Manchester United although his form tailed a bit in recent times.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
