Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Fenerbahce are interested in the signing of Yan Couto.
Couto joined the Portuguese side last summer on loan and made more than 40 appearances throughout the course of the past campaign in all competitions.
He missed only three games in the league after his arrival and he also made nine appearances in the Europa League as Braga made it to the quarter-finals.
The right-back, who has yet to make a senior appearance for the Citizens, has been backed for a huge future and has already shown potential as a quick and attack-minded right back.
As per a report by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, as translated and relayed by Inside Futbol, Yan Couto ‘wants’ to stay at SC Braga on loan next season as he aims to continue his progress in Portugal.
According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola as relayed by Sport Witness, Fenerbahce are also interested in the signing of the Man City youngster.
The Journalist states that new manager Jorge Jesus ‘liked’ what he saw from the player during his loan spell at Braga, and made contact with Man City to know the possibility of a deal.
It’s claimed that Couto’s future is ‘in the hands of Pep Guardiola’, and even though Manchester City won’t keep him in their squad, there’s a chance he could be loaned to another English club.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
