Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the ‘expectation’ remains that Gabriel Jesus will leave at the end of the season despite his recent up-turn in form.
There has been increasing speculation over the past week about Jesus’ future at City — with the Brazilian reportedly wanting to leave to get a regular starting berth elsewhere.
City are said to have set a £40 million asking price and the Brazil international’s potential sale is being lined up by the club in order to facilitate a move – financially – for Erling Haaland.
According to the latest information from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on the ‘Here We Go’ podcast, the ‘expectation’ remains that Gabriel Jesus is likely to depart Manchester City at the end of the season, with Arsenal ‘really keen’ and ‘interested’ in the forward’s signature.
Several fans have been sceptical about whether Pep Guardiola’s side will actually let Jesus go in the upcoming summer, considering the talented forward has managed to rediscover his best form lately, scoring six goals in his last three outings.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the speculation.
