‘Finally’, ‘Can’t wait’ – Man City fans react as Erling Haaland lands in a private jet at Manchester Airport

Erling Haaland has jetted into Manchester ahead of his unveiling as a new Manchester City player following his transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

Earlier this month, the club announced an agreement in principle with Dortmund to sign the superstar striker for £51m in time for next season.

And with the Blues wrapping up their campaign on Sunday with a dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa to retain the Premier League title, Haaland has arrived in the city to formalise his transfer.

The 21-year-old landed at Manchester Airport in a private jet on Tuesday afternoon from Barcelona where he underwent medical checks. He was spotted arriving in a taxi to an unknown location.

Paul Hirst and Pol Ballus from the Times have set out the 21-year-old’s itinerary for the next 24 hours.

According to the report, Haaland will have dinner with Man City executives in Manchester this evening, and will visit Man City’s training ground tomorrow to pose for pictures and undergo an interview with the club’s website – which is likely to be published next week.

While there is no exact timescale on the announcement, it seems the club are preparing to make his sensational move official sooner rather than later.
