John Stones took part in full first-team training with the Manchester City squad on Thursday ahead of their Premier League tie against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
City return to Premier League action on Saturday 2 April when Pep Guardiola’s side face Burnley in a 15:00 (UK) kick-off.
And the players were put through their paces at a sunny City Football Academy, beginning with some agility and endurance work.
Man City had received some bad news during the international break as Stones was sent home from England duty due to an injury scare.
However, according to City Xtra, John Stones trained with the rest of the Manchester City squad on Thursday afternoon.
Stones has recently raised his game making him a viable partner for Dias, although Laporte has been the regular pairing with the Portugal international this season.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from Manchester City supporters.
