‘£40?’, ‘Yes please’, ‘Take it and run’ – Many Man City Fans react as star ace emerges as ‘perfect target’ for premier league rivals

Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims West Ham are considering a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko has been with City for nearly six years now having joined shortly after Guardiola was appointed as manager in the summer of 2016. Following an initial season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, he has been used sparingly by his boss.

The 25-year-old has shown his talent in that time, but has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola this season, and has found first-team minutes difficult to come by as Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker currently occupy starting positions in Pep Guardiola’s XI.

The £22.5m-rated Ukrainian international, whose deal with Man City does not expire until 2024, has made just eight Premier League appearances this season.

According to Claret & Hugh, Oleksandr Zinchenko has become the ‘perfect target’ for West Ham, with ‘indications’ coming out of Man City that Pep Guardiola looking to recruit a new left-back.

It has also been claimed that West Ham manager David Moyes is a huge admirer of the winger turned defender and discreet enquiries were made about his potential availability last summer.

The report has also suggested that he has been valued at £40 million by the Premier League champions and could get the lowdown on the Hammers from his Ukrainian pal Yarmo.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans as usual have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
