Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Julian Alvarez is not seen as a potential replacement for Sergio Aguero just yet.
After months of speculation linking the Sky Blues with potential moves for the likes of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Dusan Vlahovic as they search for a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, a flurry of reports emerging on Thursday have mentioned that Manchester City are nearing a move for River Plate star Julian Alvarez.
The River Plate ace has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence and Manchester City are one of several top European clubs taking an interest.
The Blues have, according to reports in Argentina, already made an offer for the 21-year-old River Plate star, who has less than six months left on his current deal.
According to Stuart Brennan via MEN, Alvarez is unlikely to be added to the Man City first-team squad if they win the race – with other top European clubs in the chase.
The report claims the 21 year-old is likely to be loaned out to one of Man City’s sister clubs in Europe and is not seen as a potential replacement for Sergio Aguero at Man City just yet.
Stuart Brennan goes further to state that Julian Alvarez move would not affect Manchester City’s interest in a move for Harry Kane or Erling Haaland in the summer.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Man City Fans as usual have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
