Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays an update of the club’s interest in Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.
The 22-year-old Portuguese star became the Spanish club’s most expensive ever signing when he arrived in a €126 million transfer from Benfica back in 2019.
But he’s struggled to live up to expectations and has been ravaged by injuries during his two-and-a-half-year stint at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Despite his struggles in the Spanish capital outfit, Felix still has plenty of suitors, and Fichajes last month reported that City were among the clubs in contention to sign the Portuguese forward.
According to Tuesday’s edition of O Jogo as relayed by Sport Witness, Atletico Madrid ‘can sell’ Joao Felix to Man City, but that would be ‘a process that should evolve only at the end of the season’.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City fans.
