Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays another update by Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano on Julian Alvarez.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with City this month, having racked up an impressive 36 goals and 25 assists in 96 appearances for the Argentine champions.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported earlier that Pep Guardiola’s side were closing in on the signing of Alvarez for a fee in the region of £15.5million (€18m), with the player signing a five-year contract.
Even if the transfer have not been officially announced, the wait for Julian Alvarez to become a Manchester City player seems to be over.
According to Journalist Fabrizio Romano on Sunday, Man City and River Plate have now signed all paperwork for Julián Álvarez, with the deal set to be announced in the coming hours.
Romano adds Manchester City will also confirm that Julián will stay at River Plate on loan at least until July.
River Plate are understood to be keen to keep hold of Alvarez for their 2022 Copa Libertadores campaign, which would finish in October at the latest if they were to reach the final, while their domestic season would come to a close in early December.
In light to the update on Haaland, many Man City fans have reacted – here are some of the best responses.
