Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Newcastle have had a loan bid for young sensation Cole Palmer rejected ahead of the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old attacker has made 9 appearances for The Citizens this term providing 2 goals since the start of the campaign for Pep Guardiola’s side.
As per reliable Manchester City reporter Sam Lee, Man City feel comfortable about letting Ferran Torres leave without a replacement as they have been very happy with Cole Palmer’s progress.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Guardiola confirmed that Torres’ move to the Nou Camp is “close” but ruled out any notion of bringing in a replacement.
“We’re not going to bring in any striker in January,” he said.
Instead, they will rely upon youth talent Cole Palmer to fill the Spaniard’s boots, having rejected an approach from Newcastle for the forward.
As per the report, Newcastle representatives suggested the idea of a loan for Cole Palmer to senior Man City officials, but were told the teenager features in Pep Guardiola’s plans for the coming months.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

Ferran is going so Palmer gets the next round of the Foden treatment

Probably, Palmer is an academy graduate so he probably has some sort of commitment to the club

It’s like Sane/Foden all over again. This time Torres/Palmer. Sell for a decent fee and bring in the star boy of the academy and develop him over the next 18 months!
