Manchester City handed concern for Newcastle trip as Kyle Walker was not spotted in training on Friday.
The England international was also missing from City’s matchday squad in their 7-0 win over Leeds United in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
It was revealed before kick-off that Walker was short of full fitness ahead of the league meeting with Leeds, which explained his exclusion from the matchday squad.
Walker is in contention to feature against Newcastle, with Guardiola revealing that only Ferran Torres is unavailable for the game.
“Everyone is fit, it’s just Ferran [Torres] missing. Joao [Cancelo] is back after [his suspension against] Leeds and we will travel to Newcastle with everyone ready to play,” said Pep Guardiola.
However, as per Manchester Evening News (MEN), there was an immediate concern following those comments as City published footage of the squad training on Friday – without right-back Kyle Walker.
The report states his absence from the rest of the group suggests he might still be struggling with the issue that forced him out in the week.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

Heads up guys, could be the fitness thing or the tragic death of his close friend but looks unlikely he plays. https://t.co/bwhq3ZElOW
