Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club would welcome a move for Tottenham forward Harry Kane in January.
City did all they could to land Kane but Tottenham refused to negotiate, and with no suitable alternative they decided to go into the season with Jack Grealish as their only senior addition.
Levy stood firm on his £150million valuation and it might have been too much to ask of City who had spent £100million on Jack Grealish during that time. As reported by the Mirror, the Premier League champions made a £100m offer for Kane that was rejected.
However, Since then, he has struggled to recapture his finest form for club and country, and has only scored just two Premier League goal this season, looking out of sorts in the process.
With City still in the market for a striker, rumours around the England captain’s future is showing no sign of going away. Guardiola has even denied that City will be adding a forward to their ranks halfway through the campaign.
However, according to The Athletic, a move for Kane in January would be welcome at the Etihad Stadium, with Guardiola ‘desperate’ for Manchester City to sign a striker after their failure to replace Aguero in the summer.
Guardiola considers the Tottenham star as the ‘perfect striker’ in terms of his ability and skillset, as someone who can operate as a false nine by dropping deep and fulfilling the role of a natural striker and being able to score goals in the box.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Absolutely no. This would be a disaster. https://t.co/FfrOaMDqkW

There was an article some days ago which said City won't look for a striker in January. Don't let any paper talk sway you until you don't see the player with our shirt.

I knew it, Pep stubbornness is unbelievable sometimes, he prefers signing Kane than Haaland or Vlahović.
