Former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is reportedly considering retirement after being diagnosed with a heart problem.
Aguero completed a move to Barcelona during the summer, calling time on a fruitful 10-year spell with Manchester City.
The Argentine has suffered with a series of injury problems in recent seasons, and the latest setback is due to see him sidelined for months.
Aguero had to be substituted during Barcelona’s draw with Alaves at the Camp Nou recently after he suffered from dizziness and was struggling to breathe.
Reports emerged that Aguero would be treated for three months ahead of a return to action.
However, that has now changed as now Catalunya Radio are reporting that there is a chance that Aguero may not be able to play football again because of his heart condition:
Kun Agüero may no longer play football due to a serious heart condition. Doctors have already transferred the information to the Argentine striker, as confirmed by Catalunya Ràdio
They add that Aguero has been operated on and that his cardiac issue is complex and delicate, with maximum caution needed.
He will continue to be monitored to see if he’s able to resume his career. Let’s just hope we haven’t seen Aguero play his final game of football.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Chief, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

This must be heartbreaking for him, but at least he can get the treatment he needs to live a long and happy life. I feel so lucky to have have such an amazing player play at my club, truly one of the all time Premier League greats.
