Plenty of Manchester City supporters are far from happy after it was revealed Liam Delap has a significant injury, although it is not sure when he will return to the action.
Delap missed the first six weeks of the season with an injury picked up over the summer, making his first appearance of the season for the City U23s against Crystal Palace, scoring on his return.nullnull
The 18-year-old was used in the EFL Trophy two weeks ago at Doncaster Rovers, rather than playing for the first team in the Carabao Cup against Wycombe, where six of his academy teammates featured.
After playing for an hour in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Premier League 2, Delap has since missed the next two fixtures – a UEFA Youth League draw at PSG and a PL2 win over Derby.
It was reported recently that the English striker had ‘suffered a setback’ in his bid to return to full fitness.
As per EDS Coach Brian Barry-Murphy, the 18-year-old is on a list of several players who have significant injuries and it is not sure when he will be available.
The news was shared on Twitter by @City_Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters.
