Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the Premier League champions are ‘interested’ in signing FC Dallas striker Ricardo Pepi.
The 18-year-old forward has raised many eyebrows with his performances in Major League Soccer. He is even regarded as the next big thing in US Soccer that has already produced a host of talent in recent years.
Pepi has become the focus of attention after his performances for Dallas this season, with 13 goals in 28 games so far, Couples with three goals in four games for the USA .
The forward has already attracted a lot of attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Ajax in their admiration for him.
According to Sky Germany as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are also ‘interested’ in signing the 18-year-old, however a move to the Etihad Stadium is ‘probably out of the question’.
With Manchester City failure to replace Sergio Aguero earlier this year, Pepi could slot right in at the club, if he continues to show the nose for goal he has displayed this season.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
