Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have entered the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also on the radars of clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young midfielders in the French top-flight and has seen his reputation continue to soar in recent times.
The Cityzens have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, and with Fernandinho looking like leaving the Etihad at the end of the season, they do need reinforcements in that area.
According to ESPN, defending Premier League champions, Manchester City have joined Liverpool, Manchester United and others in the race to land promising AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The report also relays that Monaco are in no mood to lose their star midfield, and could demand up to €60million (£51million) for his signature.
The young midfielders is best deployed in a holding role, where he uses his positional awareness, strength, stamina and tackling to snuff out opposition attacks.
A sharp passer of the ball, with great close control in tight areas, he’s more than capable of helping his side progress up the field too.
He can provide Guardiola’s side with an option for years to come and is someone that Manchester City can build their midfield around.
