Many Sky Blues were impressed with the performance of Rodri in the 1-0 win on Saturday Afternoon against Chelsea in the Premier leaque.
Thomas Tuchel named a defensive side to face the reigning champions but his decision backfired as Manchester City dominated proceedings in London.
After an uneventful first-half, City took the lead through Gabriel Jesus and should have scored more but Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was in fine form to deny them.
Among the Manchester City XI, there were some fine performances that caught the eye of City fans. One such player to put in a fine display was Rodri.
He was crucial to City controlling the proceedings the way they did as he sat deep, won possession and recycled it forward with great efficiency which meant Chelsea were pinned back in their own half for large parts.
The Spaniard, who was also involved in the buildup to the winning goal, was rated among the highest Man City players on SofaScore and largely nullified the likes of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho.
Some Man City fans took to social media to express their feelings on the 26-year-old’s performance.
