Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that revealed the Sky Blues’ stance on the future of promising striker Liam Delap.
There had been plenty of speculation that the 18-year-old striker could go out on loan this season in order to gain some vital experience, with a long list of Championship clubs interested in securing the talents of the highly-rated striker this month.
But the premier league champions opted against sanctioning such a move, with Pep Guardiola even saying he has no intention of loaning the 18-year-old centre-forward last summer transfer window.
The highly rated youngster and has proven himself at youth level, so decisions need to be made on how best to develop him this season. Liam Delap has signed a new contract with the club while Championship clubs continue to try to sign him on loan.
According to Football League World, Stoke City will explore the possibility of signing Liam Delap on loan in the January transfer window, with the Man City potentially open to doing such business mid-season.
The report adds that City plan on involving Liam Delap in the first-team squad in the first months of the season but, if things are going well by January, they’ll be willing to let him move.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
