Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is likely to stick with their same attacking options for the 2021-22 campaign, having seen their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane end in disappointment.
Kane has been a leading target for the English champions during the current transfer window, but the England captain will now be staying at Tottenham beyond the end of deadline.
Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo have been linked with moves to the Etihad Stadium, but according to the Daily Mail, the Citizens are now unlikely to sign a new forward.
The report claims that Pep Guardiola is happy to stick with his existing options despite Sergio Aguero’s exit, which has left the club short of experienced numbers in the centre-forward spot.
Man City are allegedly confident that Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres, Liam Delap, Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling can all contribute through the middle.
Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium, but Guardiola is not believed to be interested in bringing the Portugal international to the club.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Happy with the squad, Aguero played 12 games and scored 4 goals last season, so yes brilliant player but didn’t play much and we have added Grealish to a squad that got within touching distance of winning it all.

Mental how this fanbase suddenly isn't confident with the squad that got us to the Champions League final, FA Cup semifinal and won us two trophies
