Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dismissed speculation linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Manchester City as ‘nonsense’.
The Ex-United star has been linked to City in recent weeks after their £150million move for Harry Kane broke down, as the Citizens weren’t prepared to make the England captain the third-most expensive player in history.
Super agent Jorge Mendes has offered the former Manchester United star to the Premier League champions, but so far the Citizens have given no clear indication they want to sign him
If he turns up at the Etihad before Tuesday it is likely to sour his relationship with Manchester United and their fans, where he won three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Manchester United boss, Solskjaer, cannot envisage his former teammate making a highly contentious move.
‘I do not read newspapers,’ the current Manchester United manager told media in Norway. ‘I know how much nonsense is written there, anyway.’
These Solskjaer’s comments has prompt Plenty of Sky Blues to react on social media.
