Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Tottenham Hotspur were ‘surprised’ at overnight reports that the club value Harry Kane in the region of £120M.
The 28-year-old is believed to have made it clear to Spurs that he wants to move to the Etihad Stadium, while Man City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed his side’s interest last week.
Despite spending £100m on Jack Grealish this summer, the Citizens are seemingly willing to break the British transfer record for a second time to bring Kane to the club.
The Guardian featured an article yesterday by Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano in which he claimed the Premier League champions are ready to pay €150m (£127m), should they receive a green light from Spurs that they are open to holding talks.
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have been left surprised by reports over the past day which suggested that Manchester City value Harry Kane at a figure in the region of £120million.
The report do state that chairman Daniel Levy would potentially mull over an offer if it was in the region of £150-160million.
The Harry Kane transfer saga is likely to drag on to the final minutes of the transfer deadline closing at the end of the month.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
That’s that then, false 9 it will be

Ridiculous how they have the audacity to reject 120m for Harry Kane. He’s 28 not 22.

We are just not going to pay £150-160 million it’s just too much for him

That’s way too much, if Levy doesn’t want to sell for 120-130 we should wait for Haaland next

In Gabriel we trust. We’ll get a striker next year

Spurs can keep him. Manchester City scored 131 goals in all competition last season with highest goals scored by any team in the premier league with 83 goals. We are not the one who is in need. Harry Kane wants to play for Champions not “bottlers”.
