Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims the club have ‘entered the race’ to sign Sporting forward Joelson Fernandes.
The 18-years-old youngster has just four senior appearances to his name for Sporting, but has already been attracting interest from elsewhere.
The teenager winger has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Arsenal, who were particularly keen to sign him last summer.
According to Portugese outlet Record and relayed by Sport Witness, City are ready to compete with their Premier League rivals in a move for Fernandes this summer.
Embed from Getty ImagesAt present, it seems unlikely Joelson will make a move this summer. He is expecting to be given more of a chance at Sporting in the upcoming season and hopes to feature in the Champions League as well.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax and RB Leipzig were all also said to be keen on Fernandes.
The young winger, who still has two years left on his current deal with the Primeira Liga champions, is protected by a release clause of €60m.
