Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Barcelona have been made aware that the club have no interest in buying Antoine Griezmann this summer.
The Premier League champions are in the market for a forward and have been linked with a move for the Barcelona forward as Barcelona look to offload him.
The Blaugrana are under pressure to offload some big earners in order to comply with La Liga salary caps and register their new arrivals, which has led to a host of speculation surrounding Griezmann’s future.
City are still thought to be plotting a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, but a swoop for him has been mooted if they are priced out of a deal for the England captain.
According to Manchester Evening News (MEN), the Blues have made sure Barcelona know that they are not interested in signing the French 30-year-old.
The report adds that City informed Barcelona earlier in the summer that they would not consider player-swap deals in light of interest from the Spanish club in stars such as Laporte.
The 30-year-old’s existing deal with Barca is not due to expire until 2024, and he has scored 35 goals and set up 17 more in 99 appearances for the Catalan club since 2019.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.
Anybody with common sense should know that.
