Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club have emerged as contenders to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
Pep Guardiola is keen to add a new striker to his squad this summer to replace Sergio Agüero, who left the club after a ten-year spell in Manchester and Harry Kane has been their top target in the ongoing transfer window.
The Premier League champions are thought to be have made a £100m offer for the England captain but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.
Should the pursuit of Kane fail, Pep Guardiola’s side must definitely have a shortlist of alternatives, and is now exploring other forward options and it has been claimed that Ronaldo has emerged as an option.
According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Manchester City have been linked with former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, who ‘cannot rule out’ a potential move to the Etihad this summer.

The 36-year-old, who has 674 career goals, is rumoured to be considering a move away from Juventus this summer; with the financially stricken Italian club ready to ‘accept his request’ if he asked to leave.
Juventus have been linked to Gabriel Jesus in recent weeks and the report touts the possibility of the Brazilian being used in such a deal.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Man City fans as usual have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

I know it’s very unlikely to happen but if we were to move for ronaldo Sterling would get the No.10 shirt and Ron gets no.7 surely
