A lot of Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Aymeric Laporte‘s situation at the Etihad.
The 27-year-old, who has been named in the Spain squad for Euro 2020, only made 27 appearances for the Citizens during the 2020-21 campaign, with Ruben Dias and John Stones ahead of him in the pecking order.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo understands that Barcelona are among the clubs interested in signing Laporte, who is reportedly looking for a move away from the Premier League.
According to Sport, Barca ‘like’ the centre-back and could be tempted into making a move should Man City signal that they would be willing to part with him.
Laporte will be the third Manchester City player to join Barcelona this summer (if the transfer materialises). Barcelona have already completed the signings of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia, both joining the La Liga giants as free agents.
The centre-back, who still has more than four years left to run on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, has made 111 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side since arriving from Athletic Bilbao in 2018.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Will be a mistake selling @Laporte this man. We need him badly.

Seriously doubt he’s going anywhere!!! BUT if they come up with, say, £150m ??! We’ll think about it, NOT !!! 😂😂👕

We would be absolutely mad to sell Laporte. He is genuinlly world class. I know Stones has been brilliant but we cannot guarantee that form will continue!

Pep and Txiki are undercover agents for Barca if this is true. Never trust the Catalan mafia.
