Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Gabriel Jesus is Max Allegri’s ‘first choice’ at Juventus.
Juventus needs a new striker and they have been linked with moves for several attackers ahead of the new campaign. Jesus, Edin Dzeko and Dusan Vlahovic are three of several forwards who have been linked with a move to Juve.
According to Gazzetta_it via Sport_Witness, Gabriel Jesus is Max Allegri’s ‘first choice’ at Juventus, as he is ‘young versatile and likely to integrate himself nicely with the other forwards’.
The report claims Juve have been told that City are willing to sell the Brazilian for the right price. They state Jesus ‘doesn’t fit in Guardiola’s plans’, and they’d have ‘no problems sacrificing him this summer’.
The links with Jesus come amid speculation that City are looking to upgrade their attack ahead of next season by bringing in Jack Grealish and Harry Kane from Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
With Euro 2020 in full flow and Jesus starring for Brazil at the Copa America, any real movements or action will, more than likely, happen until after those tournaments are over.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, and it attracted plenty of attention from the fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the speculation.

Sad to let him go but it makes sense

best for us and him

I hope he doesn’t get angry like Sterling though

No! Delap and Torres are better finishers than him and we wouldn’t get any game time on the wings considering we have lots of players who can play there. Just accept 45-50M and move on.

Personally I would like GJ to go. He is a great player but doesn’t suit our style of play. GJ can be a great player if he plays under Allegrri

Sad to see him go, and if he joins a side that sets up more to suit him I’m sure he’ll do well. Makes sense for him to leave at this stage, though. I’d think 40m and reinvest that straight in to one of the three striker options. Delap as the understudy for next season?

Hope this doesn’t come back to bite us.
