Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims there is ‘no chance’ of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy brokering a deal that could see Harry Kane line up against Spurs on the opening day of the premier league in August.
The Premier League fixture list was revealed on Wednesday morning, with Spurs set to host defending champions Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the standout fixture of the opening weekend.
City have been heavily linked with a move for the Spurs striker, with Pep Guardiola reportedly making the England International his No.1 summer transfer priority.
Tottenham Hotspur face the prospect of lining up opposite Harry Kane in the very first game of the new Premier League season, if Manchester City are able to sign the England captain this summer.
Spurs remain hopeful of keeping hold of the 27-year-old, with club chairman Daniel Levy ruling out any swap deals and believed to be asking for a minimum bid of £150million to even begin talks.
According to Matt Law for Daily Telegraph, Sources insist there is ‘no chance’ of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy brokering a deal that could see the England Man line up against Spurs for premier league champions on the opening day of the leaque in August.
The report claims Even if Man City are prepared to get close to Tottenham’s £150M valuation of Harry Kane, they could now be made to wait until after the first game of the season to sign the striker or accept that he cannot play in the fixture.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

I’m pretty sure we would be able to sign Mbappe or Haaland for £150 million. Why not just go for them?

There’s no way Kane is saying “I’ll give it one more season in Tottenham” cause if he stays one more season he’s gonna turn 29 and no club will want a 29 year old player that’s worth 100 million. So i think Kane will force his way out if he had to.
