Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims there is ‘no chance’ of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy brokering a deal that could see Harry Kane line up against Spurs on the opening day of the premier league in August.

The Premier League fixture list was revealed on Wednesday morning, with Spurs set to host defending champions Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the standout fixture of the opening weekend.

City have been heavily linked with a move for the Spurs striker, with Pep Guardiola reportedly making the England International his No.1 summer transfer priority.

Tottenham Hotspur face the prospect of lining up opposite Harry Kane in the very first game of the new Premier League season, if Manchester City are able to sign the England captain this summer.

Spurs remain hopeful of keeping hold of the 27-year-old, with club chairman Daniel Levy ruling out any swap deals and believed to be asking for a minimum bid of £150million to even begin talks.
