Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club have joined the transfer race for Real Madrid star Raphael Varane.
The France international has just one year remaining on his Real Madrid contract, and it is little surprise to see big clubs from the Premier League taking a look at his situation.
According to The Athletic, both Chelsea and Manchester City have something of an informal interest in Varane, but Man United are considered a more likely destination for the 28-year-old at the moment.
The report adds that Varane could be sold for around £40-45million this summer, which could end up being a bargain for City or whoever else snaps him up.
Raphael Varane is currently at the European Championships with France. The centre-back has enjoyed a glittering decade-long stay at Real Madrid, winning every single major honour.
On his day he’s one of the classiest defenders around, and with just a year left on his contract, he provides a tempting option for plenty of big clubs.

In Ruben Dias, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has three outstanding central defenders in his ranks. Should Laporte leave, Guardiola will need to bring in a replacement having already lost centre-back Eric Garcia on a free transfer to Barcelona earlier this month.
