Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Jack Grealish‘s agents are confident that Aston Villa will allow the England international to complete a big-money move to the Etihad this summer.
The Villa skipper is one of the players Manchester City are considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
The 25-year-old, who only signed a new five-year deal with the club in September has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and it is thought he is keen to step up to the next level sooner rather than later.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels of interest from City ahead of a possible big-money move this summer following his impressive season and latest performance for England at Euro 2020, with Villa now seemingly ready to cash in.
As per a report from the Sun, the representatives of Jack Grealish feel that a move to Manchester City would be possible after Euro 2021 is complete.
The paper says the England playmaker, 25, has four years left to run on his contract with his childhood club, but his staff have received guarantees he could make a move to Manchester City for £100million once the international tournament concludes.
Pep Guardiola is ‘desperate’ to sign Grealish, and the premier league champions have indicated they would be willing to break the current British transfer record for him.
It’s due to Grealish’s role in the England camp that City have not yet lodged a formal bid, but they plan to do so once the tournament is finished so he can begin pre-season with them, the report adds.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

We're not really need him unless we sell one player. We desperate to sign striker and lb. Do whatever it takes to fix striker and lb position

It would be a great addition to the squad, but if we want to go for our first Champions League title we need a striker and left back.

This makes so much sense tbh, when grealish signed his new deal there must of been a clause that if a top club comes in for him or if a certain amount was bidded for him he could leave. Rlly rlly hope we get him 🤞🏻

jack could be a great addition to sqaud. if go with no striker this season then jack could play as false 9 with kdb in mid it would a good pair

I like Grealish but I’d rather get a striker and move Jesus to the wings. Wouldn’t be upset either way, have belief in the club🔵

People really saying they don’t want him as if he wouldn’t be better than Bernardo silva ffs 💀. We need more than one person to create chances it’s literally only KDB rn

The club seems to be allergic on getting a striker. We are seriously focusing on positions which shouldn't be our first priority. Get a striker should be the first signing. Nothing else matters. We need a striker!!
