Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club Fernandinho’s recent performances have led to the growing possibility of the midfielder extending his contract at the Etihad.
The 36 year-old Brazilian is now just a few weeks from the expiry of his current deal, and in the summer he can leave the Etihad as a free agent if he decides against signing a new deal with the Citizens.
His future is very much in doubt as there is no signs of an intention from City to renew the player’s contract for a second year running.
According to a report by Daily Mail correspondent Jack Gaughan, via City Xtra, the club have held post-retirement role discussions with Manchester City favourite Fernandinho and there is even a growing possibility of the midfielder extending his stay at the Etihad Stadium after recent performances.
The Brazilian captained City to a stunning victory over Paris-Saint Germain in their Champions League semi-final tie midweek after being handed the nod over Rodri.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

He should actually stay. I get from the clubs view not to extend Aguero cause of injuries and stuff but there's rlly no reason to let dinho leave. We gotta offer him a 1 year extension

Plan should be to extend Dinho for one year so he can teach Yangel and Rodri the dark arts before he leaves.
