Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Raheem Sterling is likely to expect similar terms to Kevin De Bruyne’s contract in order to commit his future at the Etihad.
City agreed a new contract with talisman Kevin de Bruyne this week making him the highest paid player in the Premier League, on a deal worth up to £430,000-a-week.
Having tied down Kevin De Bruyne, City are understood to be keen to agree renewed terms with Raheem Sterling, whose current Etihad deal runs until 2023.
According to ESPN, Raheem Sterling, who current earns £300,000-a-week is likely to expect similar terms to Kevin De Bruyne’s contract in order to commit his future to Manchester City.
A new deal would have to see a significant rise in that number but it seems unlikely City will want to put him in the same pay bracket as the Belgian.
Sterling isn’t on de Bruyne’s level yet and has actually been left out from the starting eleven for recent big games.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Underserved. If he wants a pay rise he should play better

He should be lucky he's ever earned more than Aguero.

Sterling should keep the same wage structure, if the club could manage to lower his wages, that would be great deal tbh

Naaah he doesnt deserve that much if he'd ask that what stops bernardo mahrez gundo and the others from asking the same .

He's not Kevin, even 200,000-a-week is too much for a bench player.

Supported city my whole life and I don’t think he’s shown enough in the last 2 seasons to justify it. pic.twitter.com/jyiENRFtIj
