Borussia Dortmund goal machine Erling Haaland has has opened up on the most important factor that will decide his next club.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a big-money summer move, with Manchester City among a whole host of sides desperate to snap up the Borussia Dortmund ace.
Despite Dortmund’s struggles this season, Haaland has scored 33 times in 31 matches in all competition. He recently became the youngest player to score 20 times in the Champions League.
With uncertainty over the future of record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, City are expected to look for a new centre-forward in the summer as the Norwegian striker has been Identify as the perfect replacement for the Argentinian.
Haaland, who recently fuelled speculation about his happiness at Dortmund, has remained coy over a potential move in the summer by pointing out he still has a lengthy contract with the German Club.
He played down talk of a move away from the Bundesliga side earlier this weekend when he admitted he was not thinking about a move.
While on international duty with Norway in Spain Haaland said as per quotes relayed by El Partidazo de COPE: “I still have three years left on my contract with Dortmund and I am not worried about the rumours.”
But he has told Manchester City and others what they must do to sign him – they must want him.
Speaking to VG on international duty Haaland said: “They must want me.
“I still have three years of contract. I am not upset about that.”
If Manchester City have to sign him, they will have to beat off competition from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus among others for his signature.
Unsurprisingly, this has got plenty of Man City fans talking, and it seems there is a consensus that these quotes means the Borussia Dortmund star may seek a move.
Here is a look at some of the reaction to Haaland’s comments.

This comment worries me a bit.
Any club willing to fork out his alleged €100M release clause this summer obviously ‘wants’ him.
Let’s hope it’s just his agent (Raiola) trying to get more hype for a possible summer transfer, rather than Haaland going diva…— TrueBlue 👀’72 (@TrueBlueSince72) March 23, 2021
