Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to another update of the club’s interest in Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
Pep Guardiola is said to be reportedly keen on Locatelli replacing Fernandinho at the end of the season as the Brazilian comes towards the end of his career.
The former AC Milan midfielder has developed into one of the best central midfielders in Serie A. Despite a decent two seasons with Sassuolo, Locatelli could be set for a big move.
The 23-year-old, who has impressed so far this season has also been attracting interest from Real Madrid and Juventus.
Calcio Mercato earlier this week reported that Sassuolo want €40M for the defensive-midfielder and are hoping for an auction in the summer.
According to latest report from Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast, Manchester City are scouting Locatelli but there has been no contact with his agent nor the Italian club.
Fabrizio Romano adds that the midfielder has been valued by Sassuolo at between €40 million and €45 million.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Sky blues have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Manuel Locatelli Tackle better than Rodri

He looks like a really good player. Would be ideally as a Fernandinho replacement and competition for Rodri.

Never seen him play. Anyone know if he’s any good? I actually thought Zakaria was pretty good against us. A bit raw and made a few mistakes, but loads of potential.
