Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad, is one of Europe’s hottest properties and his performance in its biggest competition this year could influence his next step.
Despite moving to Borussia Dortmund just twelve months ago, every major European club has him on their radar and will try to win the race for his signature as soon as possible.
According to BILD_Sport via Sports Witness, Haaland sees the possibility to join only six clubs: Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.
The report claims that City ‘hold an extra trump card in poker’ for the Haaland transfer due to the following advantages.
Apart from their strong economic conditions and the fact Erling’s father played at the Etihad, City can lure the attacker with the presence of Pep Guardiola and the club’s ability to challenge for trophies in all competitions.
Haaland has a release clause of €75m in his contract with Dortmund, but that only comes into play in the summer of 2022, but the report claims for now, he is valued at €110M.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Thought the release clause next summer was €75m? City should offer £80m and waive the sancho 15% sell on fee

If that’s true, the only real threat to us would be United. Liverpool won’t spend that on him unless they sell a couple of their big players, RM and Barcelona won’t have the finances and Juve might struggle as well unless they shift Ronaldo’s wages.

Other than Bayern, there’s no other team I see in world football that guarantees him a WC squad & manager, trophies and playing in the best league. We should be at the top of his list.

Ignoring the obvious bias, he’d be insane not to come to us. Our sporting project is second to none of those other candidates. Haaland and this team are a match made in heaven.

Not a single one of those clubs is as good as City. Bayern and City are far and away the two top clubs in world football right now. To go anywhere else would be a downplay of his ambition.
