Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is reportedly at the centre of a three-way transfer tussle between Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
The City’s all-time record top scorer is out of contract at the Etihad in the summer and looks set to leave the club after a decade of service.
With his current deal at the Etihad due to expire next June, his future has been the subject of speculation recently, with a host of European clubs reportedly interested in signing the striker.
According to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Mundo Deportivo, PSG, Juventus and Barcelona are all tempted by the prospect of landing Aguero on a free this summer, with the latter hoping that the striker’s potential arrival could convince Lionel Messi to pen a new deal.
The Argentine, who has expressed disappointment at his lack of opportunities since returning to fitness in January, has struggled with injury and illness this season – making just 14 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals in the Champions League and one in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with several strikers as they seek to find a replacement for the Argentine striker this summer.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and even recently Southampton’s Danny Ings are some of the names reportedly on City’s short list ahead of summer transfer.
