Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to another update of the club’s interest in ex-United and current Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Citizens are expected to be in the market for a new striker at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, with the club’s all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero potentially leaving on a free transfer.
The Telegraph last month reported that City are prepared to spend £200m in the summer window to improve their squad, and Lukaku has been identified as a potential target in the final third of the field.
According to David_Ornstein via The Athletic UK on Monday, Man City are considering moves for the Inter Milan striker, who is ‘admired’ at the club as one option in the forward department ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report went ahead to note that the move will makes sense as Lukaku’s agent has experienced no previous conflict with City.
The report adds that Lukaku’s background with Manchester United would likely be no issue for those at the Etihad.
The 27-year-old has plenty of Premier League experience having spent the majority of his career in England.
The €90M-rated star has scored over 100 league goals in spells at Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Manchester United.
In reaction to the report shared on twitter by Man City Xtra, many Sky Blues have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Lukaku shouldn’t even be a consideration for #MCFC We should be planning on signing a potential young forward in the name of #haaland as a replacement for Sergio Aguero when the time comes.

If a striker will come the only name can be on the list is E. Håland 🇳🇴. Jesús 🇧🇷 and Håland 🇳🇴 should be the pair of strikers at this team. Thats all. No others.
