Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Eric Garcia ‘made every possible effort’ to help Barcelona in their attempt to sign the player during the January transfer window.
The highly-rated 20-year-old centre-back, whose contract at the Etihad runs out in the summer, has his heart set on returning to Barcelona and has even agreed personal terms with the club.
The Spaniard was keen on moving to Barcelona this January, but is understanding of the Spanish club’s ongoing financial difficulties.
According to Sport relayed by Sport Witness, in his bid to return to his boyhood club, Eric Garcia did everything he could to make his transfer to Barcelona possible last month.
The Spaniard was reportedly even ready to renounced his salary for the season to help with a potential deal between the two clubs.
The report also claims Manchester City also decided to ‘join the goodwill’ by lowering their asking price for the player.
Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, Barcelona could not get a deal over the line, thus, the deal will be finalised in the summer.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter, Man City fans who are tired of this Garcia saga have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Why? The guy is not getting any playing time and wants to play. I have more respect for actually trying to make the move happen.

Why so much hate towards Garcia? The guy wants to leave for his boyhood club where all his family live. Something we don’t know about may have happened to his family hence the urgency. Also if the money isn’t there from Barca, city should keep him for cover. That’s just business

It show that Barca didnt really rate Garcia!
Imagine a player are eager to use his own money to sign for another club and play for free in 18 months for them and still the club didnt sign him?
