Real Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to replace out-of-favour and on-loan striker Luka Jovic.
The 32-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract, which expires at the end of the season. This will make him a free agent next summer.
With his current deal at the Etihad due to expire next June, his future has been the subject of speculation recently, with Inter Milan and PSG reportedly interested in signing the striker.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Real Madrid wants either Giroud, Aguero or Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik as the ideal replacements for the recently departed Jovic.
Jovic has returned to Eintracht Frankfurt on a six-month loan deal from Real Madrid just 15 months after arriving at the club on a reported €60 million.
The report also claim that City transfer target Erling Haaland remains their key target to become the long-term successor to Karim Benzema who is now 33-years-old.
