Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club has ‘stepped up’ their search for a new striker ahead of the January transfer window.
The Cityzens have struggled to score goals in the absence of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in the opening few months of the 2020/21 season.
According to Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast relayed by Sport Illustrated, City have ‘stepped up’ their search for a striker, as they realise they are short in this position.
The report adds that City are willing to take a relatively ‘short-term approach’ to this, and potentially look to sign a ‘more experienced’ striker at a lower price in January.

Don’t know what it means by ‘more experienced’ but last time we went for an cheap and experienced striker we got Bony. Just sayin…

…is the correct answer. How many times have crosses flashed across the six yard box when City fans have cried out “if only Dzeko was there to put that away”? He’d be a decent plan b too!

We should get an older striker on a six month contract that we use incase Jesus or Aguero can’t play. Dzeko would be ideal if it is in January, If it’s next summer then Haaland. Everyone knows how difficult it is to buy a good and young striker in the January window.
