Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the club’s interest in AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.
The 22-year-old’s performances in Egypt earned him a move to Milan, where he became one of the standout performers in the 2019/20 Serie A season, and City were linked with the Algerian youngster in the press several times during the last transfer window.
Pep Guardiola reported to be personally convinced of the midfielder’s qualities and was keen on bringing the Algerian international to the Etihad.
MilanNews relayed by SempreMilan recently reported that AC Milan will only do business for Ismaël Bennacer if his €50M release clause is met, which is valid only for teams abroad and has to be paid in one sum, rather than in instalments.
According to the latest from SportWitness though, such an amount “shouldn’t be an issue to either Manchester City” or in fact to PSG, who are both eyeing the former Empoli star
Bennacer is “always willing to stay”, but SportWitness suggest that the thought of winning trophies either in France or England could be a big influence.
Bennacer joined AC Milan at the beginning of the 2019/20 season for €16m after a two-year spell with Empoli. When he signed his contract, the €50m release clause was inserted which becomes active in summer 2021.

Zakaria is a better option to replace fernandinho…

I hope we get Zakaria AND Aouar. Gundogan is good but he should be rotating with a CAM that is actually presents some goalscoring threat and/or speed and skill. Zakaria to compete with Rodri for CDM role. Zakaria against teams like leicester, liverpool, and United

He’s a warrior.
So aggressive and tenacious without the ball but so composed when in possession and controls the game from deep with his conservative and progressive passing.
Would prefer him over Zakaria due to Zakaria’s unfortunate injury record. pic.twitter.com/sNEuR7QyLE— Fin (@__Finlay__) November 12, 2020
