Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of the club’s interest in AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.
The 22-year-old’s performances in Egypt earned him a move to Milan, where he became one of the standout performers in the 2019/20 Serie A season, and has since been courted by the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
According to Vito Angele on Twitter, both the Premier League and the Ligue 1 club showed strong interest’ in AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer (22) in the summer.
The report however claims that no club offered the player’s release clause.
Bennacer joined last summer for €16m and when he signed his contract, a €50m release clause was inserted which becomes active in summer 2021.
If a €50m bid arrived and if the player wanted to leave then Milan would be powerless to stop it.
